This will fit 08-09 legacys by trimming the tabs on the grill and drilling new top mounting holes. Doesn't look perfect but it does look great. I trimmed my bumper to get to fit better.
Those tabs on the side need the front vertical parts cut off with a dremel or something. Then you can position the grill in the spot and drill the mounting holes to match. Its not pretty but with the hood closed nobody knows the difference.
